Thorn Child Finder Challenge
Working with Thorn (wearethorn.org) Digital Defenders of Children, a small team at Intel created the Child Finder Challenge to raise awareness for the lack of technological improvements in the battle to stop child exploitation.
Thorn analysts are currently matching images of missing children with images scraped from the dark web without the aid of technology. In an effort to gain support for building the AI facial recognition technology to automate the process, the Thorn Child Finder Challenge was created.
The game challenges humans to compete with AI in matching images of child celebrities. The game was created for large screen displays to present to crowds at events. A mobile optimized version is currently under development.
