Shari Benko Workflow explores how ideas become finished work through conversations, design iterations, generated artifacts, and Git changes.

The Challenge

A finished design shows an outcome, but the decisions and revisions behind it can be difficult to examine. I am developing a way to make my product design process visible and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Research Approach

The planned pipeline will capture chronological workflow records and connect activities to artifacts and visual evidence. Process Mining will help examine sequences, revision loops, and decision points. I will compare this effort with a completed design project to distinguish recurring patterns from those shaped by context and available evidence.

Private Research, Public Insights

The architecture separates private research, local data storage, and public presentation. Raw conversations and original artifacts will remain private. Selected findings and examples will be reviewed for public release.

Planned Outcome

An HTML page will explain my product design process from initial idea to delivery, supported by examples and visual evidence. Recommendations will distinguish observations from interpretations and describe practical changes to try and evaluate over time.

Current Status

Project goals, architecture documentation, and a GitHub branch-and-review workflow with automated validation checks are in place. Event capture, database setup, screenshot automation, process-mining analysis, and the final HTML page are not yet implemented.
